If you guys know me in real life, or have even maybe encountered me on a street corner, you’ve without a doubt heard me extoll the virtues of WHY?. This band is so good, sometimes I’ll think about that simple fact and then can’t focus on anything else for a while. Is that weird? That’s weird, right?

Yes, it is, but much like romantic love, no one is going to make me explain myself.

So I volunteer the information! When writing about my favorite records of 2008 with web in front, I said, “Yoni Wolf is woefully underrated and my current favorite lyricist. He holds this position if not for his alarming admissions of sexual proclivities too embarrassing to reveal even to his therapist and beautifully elaborate descriptions of both the macabre and the mundane, then for his ability to write the best similes I’ve ever heard. Yoni doesn’t write for the lowest common denominator, he writes what he thinks is best.“

So anyway, you can imagine my shaking and crying excitement when TheBayBridged.com and New, Improved Recording featured Yoni Wolf in the third installment of their collaboration – a monthly live studio session with some really remarkable and relevant artists: New, Improved, LIVE.
