PSYENCE – ‘You & I’

Psyence

Berlin – Following up on the release of their well-received singles ‘Chemicals For Breakfast’ and ‘Zebra’, Psyence is back with another single that is sure to expand their fan base and introduce them to an even larger audience. Their latest single is already being touted as their best yet, and it is certain to become a hit far beyond their core audience.

On October 23rd, ‘You & I’ is set to be released on Salvation Records as Psyence begins a series of tour dates around the United Kingdom during the next few weeks in support of the single. The track is a behemoth, showcasing the band’s psychedelic musical slant that melds killer vocals and grooves that resonate in ways that have already set the industry on its feet. With their latest musical offering mixed by James Aparicio (Liars, These New Puritans), Psyence is in good hands when it comes to production. ‘You & I’ delves into Americana garage rock that simultaneously shows the confidence of the band, the fortitude of their songwriting capabilities, as well as their respect for a sound that other artists have failed to fully capture.

Psyence already has made significant headway commercially, with several major music magazines proclaiming them one of the best live acts on the scene currently, and with an upcoming tour on the horizon, they are quickly becoming one of the bands to keep an eye on for stardom in the coming years. This fierce foursome hailing from Stoke-On-Trent are definitely not resting on their laurels and in fact are pushing new sonic boundaries with each single. What is apparent is that no matter which direction they veer towards, they still manage to retain a sound that is distinctly their own. And with a look that is certainly all their own, a versatility in their tracks which encompasses alternative rock, psychedelic rock, and even the blues, Psyence is fast showing that theirs is a sonic chemistry made in musical heaven.

For those that have been following Psyence since the beginning, it is clear that their musical expansion has not only changed the trajectory of their current sound, but has broadened their appeal with the addition of more musical influences that others have compared to popular mainstream acts. What ‘You & I’ may do for the band is break them across to the other side of commercialism where they soon become a well-known commodity in the rock community. For old fans, this song is another excellently crafted track that they’ve been anxiously awaiting. For the new fans that this track is sure to attract, this will be music to their ears and certainly a reason to stick around for the next single and album they release.
