This Saturday, December 25th, Damon Albarn will be giving the gift of music to hungry Gorillaz fans everywhere. I enjoyed their latest album Plastic Beach, but not quite as much as their debut eponymous album or Demon Days; there were so many cameos that made the album more commercial-friendly and less mold-breaking. But never fear, because the world's first virtual band will be participating in another world's first: the first album recorded on an iPad. That's right, Damon Albarn spend the month of October writing and recording an entire album on the iPad. On Christmas Eve, a music video for one of the songs will be released, and on Christmas Day the entire album will be available for free download on their website.  If you or someone you know is a Gorillaz fan, then don't miss this exciting and thrifty gift for the holiday season. Even if you don't like the Gorillaz, it would still be worth a listen to see what the recording capabilities are on the iPad. If anyone could make it work, it's the Gorillaz. Be sure to visit their website next weekend and find out for yourself!
