Reptile Youth Premieres New Video for 'Black Swan Born White (S.C.U.M Remix)

Danish rebel-pop duo Reptile Youth has premiered a new video for 'Black Swan Born White'(S.C.U.M Remix). 'Black Swan Born White' accompanies the new single the band recently released on hfn music (Kasper BjørkeTrentemøller) and follows their first ever single 'Speeddance.' The track sees the duo expand its sound towards a grandiose post-punk pop. Already a live favorite at their increasingly intense gigs, Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen' vocals soar, while an instantly addictive melody references their new-wave roots. London group S.C.U.M provide a remix that drenches the vocals in waves of reverb and suspense, before the track explodes into a churning power riff. The original version appears on their forthcoming self-titled album, which was produced by Dave M. Allen (The Cure, Sisters of Mercy) and Marc Ralph (Hot Chip), and will see an October release.

Reptile Youth was founded in 2009 by vocalist Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen and bassist Esben Valløe. Soon after its formation, the band toured extensively to rapturous acclaim from audiences and critics alike. In 2010 Reptile Youth completed the longest tour of China ever for a Danish act, and in 2011 the duo performed at notable festivals including Iceland AirwavesReeperbahn Festival,Unit Tokyo, and Roskilde Festival as the only band without an actual release. Reptile Youth's live shows border on barely contained chaos and their stage dominance has inspired a fervent following. Expanding their stage presence with guitarist Mads Bergland and Emil Vissing on drums, the band continues to tour out of their Copenhagen headquarters. Watch Reptile Youth perform 'Speeddance' at last year's SPOT festival in Denmark.
