If you live around the Chicago area, you know how brutal the winter season can be. We feel for you. But, you probably also know about Tomorrow Never Knows Fest, treating mid-westerners to 5 days of some of the best up-and-coming local and national indie music from January 11-15th. The mix of talent is well varied, too. The lineup includes artists like northwest electro post-punkers Glass Candy, the quirky Herman Dune, and the new hottest Brooklyn band Caveman, alongside widely acclaimed acts like Theophilus London, and The Walkmen, who are playing their 10th Anniversary show at the fest. All these shows and many more will span across five different venues in this frigid but vibrantly cultural city.

Get a feeling for the the atmosphere of the freshly acclaimed Caveman with their latest video, “Easy Water."

View the full lineup on their website, and keep up with new developments on their Facebook page. You can also enter to win a pair of 5-Day passes, or to a number of individual shows here.

Sometimes people ask me, “Do you ever get tired of going to shows?” To which I respond, “Never!” Too much is never enough for me when it comes to music, so it’s a good thing I live in the land of everyone-is-a-musician: NYC. I’m usually out and about around the DIY venues of Brooklyn, but you can find me in the city too. In my free time I’m coming up with new designs to add to my small jewelry collection on Etsy, which is inspired by my favorite songs. Feel free to say hey if you’re at the same show, and also feel free to email me with any awesome show tips in the area.
