I must say that they are my favorite interview yet with BestNewBands.com. This group of four guys are cool without trying to be, sweet without knowing it and fabulous without making a big deal of it. With three amazing albums under their belt, Little Beirut has found their golden lineup (see the interview for a funny story on how they did it), heard their songs played on college radio and 94.7 Too and have several upcoming gigs. If you like what you saw, make it out to one of their shows. You won’t be sorry!

I love Little Beirut. They played an amazing, intimate show at the Buckley Center on the University of Portland campus, for free. They also gave me an incredibly warm and interesting interview afterward. Watch below for all the things you didn’t know about Little Beirut (and possibly some things you didn’t want to know).

Liz recently returned to her hometown of Portland, OR from San Francisco, where she wrote consumer product reviews forWired magazine. Writing about music has been a lifelong dream for her. She learned about music from her supercool sisters in the '80s, who exposed her to everything from Pet Shop Boys to Slaughter. Known for remembering every song she hears, Liz can never ignore lyrics, which can either make or break a song, in her opinion. When not rocking out at shows, Liz spends time singing a lot of karaoke and playing Rock Band. She can't help being a nerd, okay?
