So, I’m from L.A.- there are VERY few things I’d leave the house for when it’s raining outside.  I barely even know what rain is, but Is Tropical was hitting XOYO in London for the big record release show it was of must-see status.  Several days later, a still drenched hoodie, and I’m still living in a post-show haze with their “the greeks” still on severely heavy rotation.

Is Tropical - The Greeks by The Recommender

I got to catch up with the three men of self-induced mystery and carefully maintaining their masks the three men shrouded in mystery began to slowly unveil their music’s appeal- and the whole yellow fever vs. drinking debate- (spoiler alert, the fun one won!)

After our little mini interview sesh at the venue, the guys went to go get ready and I had in getting to cover the show I also gave myself a one way ticket to the tropics, complete with a stage scorched by hot music of the moment, and the perfect soundtrack to my next sun-soaked vaca, and most importantly, a little taste of some Cali style sun in the midst of London’s monsoon season.  Note to reader- apparently, that’s the only season London has.  To keep updated on the latest and greatest with Is Tropical and find out where you can catch the heat wave next, head HERE, and be on the lookout for Big things to come from this Brit-based group that’s offering all of us a grandiose dose of the islands.  Think Spring fling, music style.
