Introducing a band we met thanks to our friends at restorm.com: Monophon is a band from the eastern part of Switzerland that has been called the dreamy Swiss answer to MGMT. The band released their first single “Protection” in March to much acclaim and regional airplay. Their follow up, “Secret Island” continued the momentum and lead to their breakout performance at the Openair festival at St. Gallen in July (the MTV-Blog called their performance “sensational”). The band has been gaining fans and attention ever since and is preparing for the release of their debut LP.

They are releasing their, as yet untitled, debut LP on November 24th.
