Following a short, yet successful jaunt in June, Michael Kiwanuka announces his first lengthy coast to coast U.S. tour for the fall, kicking off in New York City at Webster Hall on September 18. Michael will be returning to New York for a third time, where he's garnered rave notices from the New York TimesNY Daily News and Time Out NY. Following the triumphant return to NYC, Michael then plays a number of East Coast dates before heading to the West Coast including October 9 at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. He will be performing songs from his debut album Home Again, which will be released on CD July 17 through Cherrytree Records. For a full list of tour dates, please see below.

Home Again was produced by Paul Butler from The Bees in his home studio on the Isle of Wight. The album takes Michael's effortless melodies, observant lyrics and smooth voice and builds them into timeless and rootsy folk-inflected modern soul. Michael and Paul played most of the instruments on the album. Home Again was released in March in the UK to great acclaim, debuting as a Top 5 best seller, and with Q Magazine calling it a "life-affirming...accomplished work of depth and distinction."

Unlike the UK release, which included ten songs, the US version features 11, with the addition being the Dan Auerbach-produced "Lasan." Of the song, Rolling Stone said "it's [Michael's] rich, ragged voice that pulls you in. He sounds like his own man, not an imitator."

Born and raised in North London by Ugandan immigrants, Michael's music is drawing comparisons to Otis Redding, Bill Withers and Marvin Gaye. Earlier this year he topped the BBC Sounds of 2012 list, joining the ranks of previous winners including Adele, Corinne Bailey Rae, 50 Cent, Ellie Goulding, and others.
