Daniela Montelongo

I’m a proud Chicagoan as most of us are and music has been a necessity in my life for as long as I can remember. Majority of the time I can be found at a show, listening to blaring music (as my roommate stated best “music was not written quietly, the louder the better”), or lugging band equipment for the band my friends play in.  I am a sucker for lyrics and have been known to adapt many of my favorites into motto's on how I should live my life. I am also a concert photographer that has had the privilege of shooting many awesome bands and loving every minute of it.

While many fans were excited to be se...

Walking into a show with signs heavily posted that warn people of the extensive use of strobe lights during the performance, I couldn't help but smile and know I going to be in for a great night. Having already seen both Langhorne Slim and The Law and Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, I knew I was in for some great music. The Riviera Theater is a ...

I hadn't been to a weekend show at Chicago's Schubas in sometime. That being said, I was excited to go see On an On this past Friday. By the time I walked through the main bar part squeezing through the drinking folk and opened the doors to enter the back room, I remembered why I avoided weekend shows. As the band did a quick set up and sound ch...
