New York – We’ve been hearing some good buzz around Priory lately. The Portland duo have released a new track, “Call To Arms,” which will be on their forthcoming album.
The electro-dance-pop act, made up of Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears, met in a Portland flophouse, built a studio in an old cement factory, made a record, and got signed to Warner Bros. Records.
Priory wrote “Call To Arms” after a brainstorm session at their local hangout. It’s a song about being in a tumultuous relationship with a woman who is out of your league and fighting to control your testosterone-driven response to jealousy.
The duo’s earlier 2014 release, “Weekend,” has reached the top 20 on the alternative music charts. A month-long U.S. tour begins this weekend.
