New York – California 80s inspired electro-pop band The Heirs are set to play a full lineup of summer shows on the 2016 Vans Warped Tour. This comes after performing at SXSW and touring with The Big Pink. Last year The Heirs released the debut four-track EP Ecliptic (Capitol Records), which features the single “Alright Goodnight.”
The L.A. band was originally formed in Florida by lead vocalists and siblings Brandon and Savannah Hudson. The teenagers are joined by their friends Alex Flagstad (guitar), Eian McNeely(bass/keys), and Brennan Benko (drums). The band’s name was inspired by “a mutual dream where the youth are heirs of the world, inheriting everything the adults leave behind.” This concept also encompasses the band’s music, both in Ecliptic and their forthcoming 2016 full length. The band recently recorded in Los Angeles with Justin Stanley (Beck, The Vines, Sheryl Crow) and Bram Inscore (Beck, Icona Pop), and Benko shared in various producing roles, with songs co-written with Hudson.
The five-piece has previously toured with R5 and Melanie Martinez. Extensive touring has helped The Heirs develop an energetic live show. You can see The Heirs’ dynamic live performance this summer at any of the following 2016 Vans Warped Tour dates:
