New York – Grammy Award-nominated multi-platinum alternative R&B trailblazer THE WEEKND has premiered the highly anticipated video to his #1 hit single “Can’t Feel My Face” exclusively on Apple Music Connect. The video was directed by Grant Singer, who also directed the video for “The Hills”, which is now nearing 90 million views.

THE WEEKND has yet to release his anxiously awaited third full-length offering, Beauty Behind The Madness (XO/Republic Records) but already has four recently released tracks certified platinum by the RIAA. The forthcoming album, which saw a #1 debut with the iTunes pre-order, has been one of the most anticipated albums of 2015 and will include the now platinum certified tracks “Can’t Feel My Face”, “The Hills” and “Often”.

THE WEEKND recently achieved a Billboard first when he claimed the top three slots on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs as “Can’t Feel My Face”, “The Hills” and “Earned It” hit #1, #2 and #3 respectively. 2015 has been a breakout year for THE WEEKND, he is just the third artist to have two songs in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 simultaneously in 2015, and the first male. Currently, the album’s first official single “Can’t Feel My Face” sits at #2 while “The Hills” sits at #11 and“Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” sits at #26. THE WEEKND also recently hit #1 on the Artist 100 chart, a chart that blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

“Can’t Feel My Face” is also seeing huge global success with the track debuting Top 5 in over 33 markets including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark and Poland. Written by THE WEEKND and co-produced by pop powerhouse Max Martin, it’s no surprise that the track is already being hailed as the best song of 2015 by outlets like USA Today and Radio.com. The official music video to the track will also debut in the coming weeks.

The year started out with a bang with “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)”, THE WEEKND’s contribution and first release from the chart-dominating Fifty Shades of Grey Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The single recently achieved triple platinum status as certified by the RIAA and has spent 30 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” reached #1 on Spotify and was the “#1 Most Shazam’ed Song in the World,” being Shazam’ed over 3 million times and occupying the Top 5 on the music discovery app for five weeks straight. Internationally, the track has also reached Platinum status in Sweden (x2), Netherlands (x2), Norway, Denmark and Canada plus Gold status in the UK, Australia, Mexico, Switzerland, and New Zealand.

A festival showstopper, THE WEEKND will headline this year’s Lollapalooza music festival joining the likes of Paul McCartney, Metallica and Florence + the Machine as well the the inaugural Billboard Hot 100 festival. He capped off a closing set at Coachella 2015 to rave reviews.
