As the name suggests, Snowball Festival is another festival that combines music and mountain sports in the cool elevations of the Rockies. This is only the second year the fest is running, yet it’s already established as packing a killer lineup in a winter wonderland. This all ages event is taking place in Vail Valley, CO, from March 2-4, and has already announced bands like TV on the Radio, Head and the Heart, Deer Tick, Major Lazer, Unknown Mortal Orchestra (who really are everywhere right now), Gauntlet Hair (also everywhere), and Small Black. To add to that, on Monday they announced the finalized lineup that also includes Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Gardens & Villa, The Kooks, and…Snoop Dogg, anyone?

On top of that, there will be separate late night events, which means you may have the chance to see big names in a small club. All of the big ticket packages are sold out, but there are still tix for a standard 3-Day pass and the VIP festival pass. A portion of the VIP pass sales will be donated to a charity that you choose from pre-selected options while checking out.
To get an idea of the “Music. Adventure. Party,” take a look at this lovely little video set to Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, who played the fest last year, that shows clips of their performance along with The Flaming Lips and others.
