Purple Melon Rocks SXSW, Texas Tornado Style!

Purple Melon won me over in L.A., fortified my obsession in Austin, and now what L.A. needs (aside from a million things) is more from my four favorite British imports.

Their classic rock hybrid is just what the music scene is in need of, because there’s a reason rock spawned in yesteryear is called “classic.” Since classics never go out of style Purple Melon is bringing it back to the old school in a new way with their auditory tricks and treats.

Lucky for me (and every other L.A. resident) Purple Melon will be gracing the Roxy with their presence on April 22- and if last time’s show was any indication of what we can expect all I can say that you should get there early. Not “L.A.” early, I’m talking about before or at the latest on time- because it will be packed- and for great reason.

Here’s a vid of the boys performing at day 2 of the Texas Tornado party at Red Eyed Fly for SXSW, and be ready to buy your tickets to the Roxy right after. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollar.

For more on the guys feel free to cyberstalk them on their Facebook page- see you on Friday, April 22!
