We grabbed the pic above and the following description of 2010′s Venue of the Year, New York’s Bowery Ballroom, from Clubzone.com:

Outfitted in classy Art Deco style, this three-level former shoe store has a downstairs lounge and a 500-capacity concert hall. The Ballroom plays home to mid-scale touring acts, with big-name indie-rockers sharing the stage with living legends and the occasional well-known local band. Superior sound system, sight lines are good everywhere.

Yelp users give the venue more than 4 stars. Illeana S. said in her yelp review:

This venue is by far my favorite in New York City. If you want to argue about that, show me a place that you think is better. I challenge you! :)

What sells me on this venue? The sound. I am serious. The acoustics are pretty darn good. When I came in to hear the opener, my ears were doing cartwheels and I wanted to do somersaults on the floor.

And you, dear readers, voted it Number One in our readers’ polls for the Best of 2010. So congrats, Bowery Ballroom! You’re the best!
