Pulled Apart By Horses is the definition of “rally”- and I know, because I learned from staff writer Laurel Kathleen the exact definition of “rally” this year. Those boys had about a bazillion shows and were still up with the sun to serenade us on Saturday morning at Latitude 30- the British Music Embassy’s headquarters throughout the duration of the festival. Let me reiterate that after playing several shows they were back to performing full steam ahead at 11:30 a.m. (that’s about 5:30 a.m. sxsw time) and people (sleep deprived, severely lacking in orderly conduct people) STILL came out to check out what all the hype was.
They (and I) were not disappointed and the hot and heavy hard rock group we’re ready to rock our socks off before noon. Lucky for me I got to catch up with PABH guitarist James pre-set to get the low down on their sxsw experience!
The hard rock aside the boys are able to entertain based solely on their stage A.D.D. and inability to remain anywhere near the same spot for more than one second straight. I thought I was a SXSW venue whore- drifting from one venue to the next at lightning speed, but these dudes we’re living and loving music all over the bar top, amps, floor, stage- you name it, they hit it- and they did it in true rock and roll style. I’m talking a one way ticket to carried away onstage antics- and it’s a transatlantic custom more all-American kids need to adapt.
I’m over in the U.K. in 2 months and some odd days and counting- and they’re definitely staying on my radar! To keep updated on the latest and greatest with the U.K. kids feel free to cyberstalk their Facebook for a little one one one four-one-one sesh!
