The Happy Hollows make girls want to be her

Last night, at the urging of Eliza, I made it to a residency show of The Happy Hollows at Spaceland, and I must say, they were a titillating onslaught of she-rock. Not that their rock is she-centric, but rather, that the driving force of the rock-ness is a she, and she plays a mean mean rock guitar. And in all her she-dom, she commands respect from rock nerds, guitar geeks, and admiring female fans alike. Watching them, I found myself looking around the room and wondering, “Do all these girls want to be her?”, much as every dude at a Radiohead concert dreams himself Thom Yorke. My she-blogging companion confirmed this to be true. If Eliza could be any other girl in the world, it would Sarah Negahdari of The Happy Hollows. And maybe some guys in the room were feeling the same way?
