Los Angeles – Following their hotly anticipated London return – where they sold-out Heaven in 3 hours – and with new album Too inching ever-closer, LA punks FIDLAR are following news of their infectious new single ‘West Coast’ by announcing their biggest UK tour to date. The band will be hitting the UK this November.
Starting at Bristol’s O2 Academy and moving on to London’s Forum, FIDLAR will be taking their playful and energetic brand of punk on their first European tour since the release of their second album Too (due out this September). Before that release, FIDLAR will be playing what will no doubt be a triumphant main stage slot at the world renowned Reading & Leeds festivals.
Tickets for FIDLAR’s November tour will be available on pre-sale starting at 9am on the August 5th. General Sale will start August 7th.
FIDLAR’s new album Too was recorded in Nashville over the span of just two weeks. The 12-song collection of pop-infused garage rock expands on the band’s 2013 self-titled album that put them at the forefront of modern punk music. The new album showcases a band that continues to fine-tune its sonic approach while also highlighting a more introspective and revelatory approach to songwriting. It also marks the first time the band has worked with a producer.
“We could have made record number one again… but instead we decided to challenge ourselves and admit that we don’t know everything,” said guitarist and lead vocalist Zac Carper. “Up until this point we had recorded everything ourselves, so working with a producer taught us so much. I didn’t want to make a standard rock record. The goal for this album was to think outside the box and I think Jay really helped us do that.”
