New York – Brooklyn’s raucous electro-pop duo Junior Prom is back with a catchy new single, “Cheap Thrills,” out today through Elektra Records (iTunes). The band has also premiered a lyric video for the song.
Junior Prom is a music duo comprised of Mark Solomich and Erik Ratensperger. “Cheap Thrills” is their first new single since their critically acclaimed debut Junior Prom EP which spawned “Sheila Put The Knife Down” and made waves on Alternative radio (including coming in at #1 on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation) and “International,” which was featured on the big screen via 2013-14 ESPN College Basketball.
Best New Bands caught the lively duo in Chicago on Halloween night; we’ll have an interview with them shortly.
Junior Prom’s debut album is expected in early 2015. They are currently touring the U.S. supporting Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness and Hunter Hunted. The band has recently honed their live chops supporting artists like Bleachers, Panic! At the Disco and The Colourist.
