Poliça Streams ‘Shulamith’ LP On NPR: First Listen

Los Angeles – Excitement is mounting with only seven days until the release of Shulamith, Polica’s eagerly awaited follow-up to the critically acclaimed Give You The Ghost. The band’s sophomore release is streaming in full now over on NPR: FIrst Listen, where writer Andrea Swensson calls the LP “nearly perfect.” Listen to Shulamith HERE.

In other news, Polica  recently made a few high profile stops to perform the album’s lead single, “Chain My Name.” The band’s renditions of the propulsive Shulamith cut from Later With Jools Holland and 89.3 The Current are both online now.

‘Shulamith’ is available to pre-order through iTunes and thisispolica.com. Pre-orders direct from the band include a limited-edition signed 24×24 lithograph commissioned by Polica themselves from Minneapolis artist Michael Gaughan, and a 32-page ‘Shulamith’ book comprised of lyrics, handwritten notes from the band, and exclusive photographs from friend and collaborator Cameron Wittig.

For those that can’t wait until the album’s October 22nd release date, the band has let loose a limited-run of customized copies of Shulamith in indie retailers across America one week early. Each copy of the album features unique artwork created by the band themselves. Only 500 exist. Visit http://www.recordstoreday.com to find a store in your area, and call to check availability.
