Kristian Matsson breaks out the electric guitar for this soulful track from his just-released EP Sometimes The Blues is Just a Passing Bird. This song takes on more of a pop feel than most of his songs, and Matsson’s yearning voice sounds more hopeful than ever. Add in that catchy guitar riff and I’m sold.

 

The Morning Benders – All Day Day Light

A single and brand new video from The Morning Bender’s epic Rough Trade debut, Big Echo. This song showcases the band’s full, but never overcomplicated, pop-rock sound and has an addictive chorus and clap line to boot. I’m also a fan of their bold use of typography (see below).
