Rae Morris Shows Some “Skin” On The Royals!

Rae Morris

New York - Skin, the new EP from British songwriter and piano prodigy, Rae Morris, had its title track recently featured on E!’s hit series, The Royals, on May 3, 2015. A second cut from the release, “For You” was featured on last night’s episode as well. The EP just came out in the US on April 28, 2015 via Atlantic Records and was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Usher, Charli XCX, Vampire Weekend).

Additionally, listen to the premiere of “Love Again” (Clean Bandit remix) HERE.

Rae Morris got her first big break after Zane Lowe dubbed “Closer” his “Hottest Record In The World,” which was written with Jessie Ware and Florence + The Machine collaborator, Kid Harpoon. Morris, a self-confessed PJ Harvey, Kate Bush and Feist fanatic, soaks up the lessons learned by her contemporaries like a sponge.  Furthermore, thanks to her humble charm, Morris has attracted a wealth of like-minded, young British singer-songwriters with a similar commitment to their own independent flair and Morris considers herself part of a loosely-termed collective.

Morris has had more fun than she bargained for on the tour circuit this summer. The past year has taken in her first ever Glastonbury, performing with Bombay Bicycle Club and Clean Bandit. This summer, she will be at Glastonbury again performing solo. Morris also has a solo slot at Reading & Leeds, where she played a special session for BBC Introducing, as well as a forthcoming support slot with Taylor Swift at her British Summertime show. Add to the festivals her very own UK headline tours and Morris has steadily built a growing fan base –both down at the front of her gigs and on social media (with one fan account naming themselves the “Bae Morrises”).
