Static Jacks have unveiled a new video for “Wallflowers” from the forthcoming In Blue LP. On making the video the band explains: “We wanted to make an old school music video that told a story which is pretty different from what most music videos are today. We had the idea to riff on the plots of both “Weird Science” and “Romeo and Juliet” by Billy Shakespeare. We had no idea how to make that happen at all until director, Zak Stoltz, sent us his vision for it and it blew our minds. We collected all our old 90′s memorabilia and basically made a tiny short film. A film whose plot we borrowed. Oh, also, our manager Adam was in an old Fall Out Boy video with the male robot “Ken”. Look it up.”
Static Jacks have also announced new headlining Fall tour dates in support of the LP, out September 30th via Old Friends Records. In Blue is available for pre-order via the band’s website and digitally through iTunes. Digital pre-orders include the single “Wallflowers” available for download now.
