Best New Bands and Columbia Records are giving away a vinyl copy of Hozier’s acclaimed debut album, Hozier, signed by the performer himself!
The Irish singer-songwriter had a breakthrough song this year with “Take Me To Church” and the artist’s continuous touring has made Hozier a huge hit. Best New Bands saw him perform last month at an actual church in Los Angeles: “The crooner stepped into the role of musically inclined, flannel-wearing preacher (whose) deep and velvety tones were left to shine with perfection under the gothic chandeliers in front of the stained glass art of saints.”
“Take Me To Church” has scored at Alternative and Triple A radio, where it reached #1, and is currently gaining at Top 40. A new single, “From Eden,” is already top 10 at Triple A. He’s performed “Church” on Saturday Night Live and Late Night With Seth Meyers, among others.
Hozier is now on a tour of England, Ireland and Europe through the end of the year. The soulful singer returns to North America at the beginning of February to headline even bigger venues than he did this Fall; the tour is already sold-out.
