New York’s FADER Label artist, Yunalis Zarai or Yuna might not be a household name in America (yet) but in home country Malaysia, the songstress is already an award-winning superstar in her own right. And with the release of her first single off of her up-and-coming self-titled debut album, Yuna is playing the cards right in her American musical venture by having The Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams on the producing deck
A huge shift from her usual folk pop sound, “Live Your Life” is unlike anything you’ve heard from the 26-year-old singer-songwriter before. A mid tempo house number, the song accentuates Yuna’s subtle voice giving it a terrestrial vibe perfect for a dance hit. I have a feeling a number of remixes will follow suit.
