To celebrate the September 17 street date of Grouplove’s second album, Spreading Rumours, BestNewBands.com and Canvasback Music/Atlantic Records are giving away a vinyl copy to one lucky winner.

The Los Angeles-based quintet are on a major roll.  The first single from the LP, the infectious “Ways To Go,” was released in June and is #4 on the Alternative chart and steadily rising on the Rock chart.  The band are now roughly midway through their sold-out “Seesaw Tour,” which has them performing two shows–one electric, one acoustic–on consecutive nights in nine cities. When that tour ends on October 10, Grouplove will then headline their 2013 Campus Consciousness Tour, which brings them to colleges large (Ohio State University) and small (Maine’s Colby College) throughout the country, in an effort to raise awareness about environmental and social issues. 

BestNewBands.com has been unabashed Grouplove fans since their debut LP, Never Trust A Happy Song (which featured the huge #1 alternative hit, “Tongue Tied”), was released almost exactly two years ago, naming them our Best New Band of 2011.   Amazingly, that album peaked at only #75 on Billboard’s Album chart, but after the indie group gained thousands of fans through incessant touring and numerous national TV appearances, Spreading Rumours should easily debut in the top ten.
