Los Angeles – The self-proclaimed “Hip Pop” duo of Aluna Francis and George Reid, better known as simply AlunaGeorge, have just released word that they plan to travel back to the U.S. in late April, for a pair of bookend-style coastline shows, as well as a set of west coast festivals (Sasquatch and Lightning in a Bottle) in Washington and California respectively.
The London-hailing musical couple have been making plenty of noise – both crowd pleasing and journalism leading – since the release of their debut, full length record, Body Music, in July of 2013. (Best New Bands contributor, James Somerside, spoke highly of a show at London’s noted venue, the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, AlunaGeorge gave, not long after the record’s launch.)
Since the passing of a few summers, AlunaGeorge have kept busy and are finally ready to start revving up anticipation and excitement among fans around the EU and UK, as well as abroad for those in the U.S. with plans to perform new but yet-to-be-announced songs in anticipation of their sophomore album. The band’s upcoming travels back to America will begin on April 28 and finish up around a month later. Full show information and ticket links are below.
