Seattle – Capitol Hill Block Party (CHBP) has just announced the first group of artists confirmed to be part of this year’s installment of the iconic music festival. The festivities are scheduled to take place over July 24-26 in the Evergreen state. Some of the acts appearing will include the multi-talented indie pop artist and producer, Toro y Moi, the highly acclaimed TV on the Radio, RATATAT the electronic duo from NYC and UK garage punk rockers, The Kills, Wye Oak, Broods and DIIV .
Three-day passes to the party are now on sale, at a discount of $99 until this Thursday, April 2, 2015.
The owner and producer of Capitol Hill Block Party, Jason Lajeunesse, exudes an especially ambitious and optimistic spirit when speaking about what’s to come this summer.
“This year I feel personally connected to the line up more than ever. I have history with many of the top tier acts dating back to their very first shows in the PNW, so its exciting to see them circle back years later headlining our festival. We made a concerted effort to book bands we felt best exemplified the spirit and history of the festival, putting an emphasis on indie rock and punk bands alongside genres like hip-hop and EDM. We booked the acts we’d want to see and, as a result, the artists we chose reflect the energy and heart of this music festival and neighborhood.”
Festival attendees will be able to enjoy a widely assorted lineup of both local and national bands during the course of the three days, watching performances from five different stages.
After April 2, three-day passes for the block party will be sold for $125 between April 3 and July 4. Beyond that date, passes will cost $150. VIP passes will also be sold for $250 and those will grant attendees access to the outdoor VIP beer garden with hosted snacks and beverages, limited edition festival apparel, a CHBP poster and gifts from festival sponsors.
The full artist lineup and the prices and availability information regarding single day passes will be released early in June. Details pertaining to the creative installations, visual arts program, digital activities and more will be made public at a later time.
