So day 198018 at SXSW and aside from wanting to amputate my feet from running back and forth between venues it couldn’t be better here in Austin! Now any fellow musical masochist knows various tips and tricks to navigate your way through SouthBy insanity- and amidst the unavoidable chaos, sometimes you find you’ve GPS’d yourself right into a little audio awesomeness you hadn’t exactly anticipated. Never fear, here at bestnewbands.com we’re always prepared like boy scouts and with my hot little mandatory accessory I “FLIP”-ped out with the U.K. sent folk sensation Dry The River- who will remain on my heavy rotation list long after the SXSW audio insanity has dwindled.
The 6th Street accomodations are always just slightly less than stellar for FLIPping out- so the boys and I headed into an alley (welcome to what I like to call my temporary office) to get the low down (and dirty- we were in an alley for folk’s sake) 411 on the UK based band serenading 6th street!
You can catch the boys next at a few upcoming fests and feel free to cyberstalk them on Facebook to keep updated on the latest & greatest with the fab folk sensation that is Dry The River!
