Minneapolis – Sometimes you wake up and you ask yourself how you want to start your day. You know…you have one or two hours until you start working and there’s a ton of possibilities.
For instance, you could stay in bed, call your family, buy a cat, even a lizard or, you could invest in a company that does research about cloning humans, wait 10 years, clone yourself in a smaller version…and hire your clone to do your time management. While that may sound absurd, Stephen Hawking thinks about every possible universe that exists…ehm I think (never read anything from him).
Anyway…We actually only had 45 minutes to manage our breakfast needs and I’ve already wasted 5 writing this. So there’s this amazing waffle place..wait..pancakes. We ordered our food in the first 10th of the second when we sat down along with the biggest coffees they had. We – after all – had to be prepared for a 7-8 hour drive to Minneapolis..and that trip was mean for our drivers (mudi and mark). The wind was causing quite the turbulence. While the 2 of them bravely risked their lives for us, I tried to get the xbox to work (we actually have one in the rental van) and I played two football (soccer for y’all Americans) matches until it stopped working while Ali was catching up on office stuff and doing his work as a good freelance social media expert for AudioDamn!.
An 8 hour drive in general is almost as exciting as the level of excitement you feel when you see a copy of “Railway Gazette”. But it’s good being on the road with good people, which we definitely are.
So we arrived at The Turf Club, and we were basically screaming our lungs out, it was so cold. No, seriously, so cold…no, no, listen to me, so cold. I’m Austrian, I know, trust me.
We were welcomed warmly at The Turf Club and basically loaded all our stuff from the van on the street straight onto the stage and started playing. It was definitely worth the drive. The crowd was on fire!! Oh my god it was great playing for you guys. Ali’s got his moves. Mudi’s drum solo was great at the grand finale of “Fire”. And Highly Suspect rocked. That was some energy in the completely sold out room!
Hey, seriously, thank you!
