New York – Riding on the success of our Official CMJ showcase at Matchless back in October, we’re now bringing more new music to you live, on the third Wednesday of every month at Brooklyn’s Bar Matchless.
This Wednesday, December 18, we’ve got a holidaze edition with five more bands that are worth checking out:

Honduras recently performed at brand new venue Radio Bushwick
Shy Hunters just released the first single, “Echoes,” off their brand new album O That I Had Wings, due out February 18.
The Wendigo is a witch whose new EP Alter Destiny comes out the day before, on the 17th, out digitally and on USB flash drives that double as amulets. They may or may not give the wearer special powers.
Spirit Plate is the side project of Backwords’ Brian Russ and friends, who have only been playing together since the summer, but have been gaining serious momentum since.
Jumpers is lead by Mary Page, along with members of Calexico and Tuff Sunshine, who will also have brand new tunes from their forthcoming first full length.
