I2W is a hip-hop/rap collective from Sacramento. They stay afloat in the underground-indie-rap-sphere, and while they don’t seem to quite yet possess the skill, eloquence, and unbreakable flow that indie-rap-underdog-turned-frontrunner Atmosphere possess (oh, Slug, how I love you), they do have at least one killer hook (Weeest Coast is baaack), a lot of energy, plenty of thickly spoken interjections between songs (haHA, uhhhh), and the obligatory possy of dancing, scantily clad girls and random, somewhat awkward dudes. They seem to be out to revive the east coast/west coast, Biggie/Tupac rivalry (obviously representing the Weeeest Coast), and I wish them the best of luck in that formidable venture. Moral of the story: If I got my mits on a recording of these guys, I would certainly have open ears. Click the read more button to hear more dope beats, uhhh!
