It’s interesting how Clubfeet’s new music video for “Fall From Here” seems to simultaneously fit an afternoon lying on the beach under the sun and a cold gaze through a window while a snowstorm develops. It makes sense though that Melbourne-based Clubfeet would be able to create a video that fits the current seasons in both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
“Fall From Here,” the latest installment in the band’s Gold on Gold video project with Sydney videographer Alex Goddard, is equally as haunting visually as it is musically. The song displays the sonic diversity the band offers on their debut album, Gold on Gold. Without doubt the most ethereal, moody, and melancholic offering on the album, “Fall From Here” sits in a strange purgatory that is simultaneously depressing and inspiring, eerie and beautiful.
