New York - After recently unveiling the title, date, and cover art for his debut album, BIG BABY D.R.A.M., chart topping singer/songwriter/rapper D.R.A.M. released the visual for “Cash Machine,” which will appear on BIG BABY D.R.A.M. when it’s released on October 21st. The video was shot in Atlanta, GA. It was directed by Lacey Duke and is continues the fun, colorful style D.R.A.M. has become known for, with no shortage of colorful cash provided Mister E. The video’s release comes on the heels of another milestone for D.R.A.M., as his hit single “Broccoli” is currently the #1 song on the Rhythmic radio charts.
Recently, D.R.A.M. – who Entertainment Weekly called one of their “9 new artists to watch” – took over Samsung’s 837 space in downtown New York City as part of the “Samsung presents Live at 837” series, where he premiered the “Cash Machine” video, participated in an intimate Q&A with acclaimed hip-hop personality Sway Calloway, played songs from his new album, and then closed the night with a performance of some of his biggest hits, which had the packed venue on their feet & dancing.
BIG BABY D.R.A.M. features fan favorites “Cash Machine” and “Cute,” as well as the chart-topping, double platinum single, “Broccoli.” Originally released on SoundCloud in March, “Broccoli” currently sits atop Billboard’s “Top Rap Songs” chart, #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on Spotify’s “United States Top 50” chart, #6 on iTunes’ “Overall Songs” chart, and is currently #2 at Urban radio. As if all this weren’t enough, the companion video has over 53 million views. The Lil Yachty-assisted song spent 16 weeks at #1 on Soundcloud’s Global Songs chart, where it currently has over 90 million plays.
D.R.A.M. will celebrate the release of BIG BABY D.R.A.M. by making his national late night television debut with a performance of “Broccoli” on CONAN, slated for October 25th (check local listings.) This comes after D.R.A.M. took the stage alongside Lil Yachty for a stand out performance of “Broccoli” at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards. Watch the performance here.
