Los Angeles – Chet Faker has made a previously unreleased track available.
Faker explains that “Bend” was recorded in 2013 and set to be on his debut album Built On Glass until the last minute, “…always felt like a part of Built on Glass and since [the upcoming Australian] tour is the sort of live ‘director’s cut’ of the album it made sense to release this before it lost context.”
After being named to a number of “Best of 2014” lists, the singer / producer’s popularity in the U.S. was cemented with performances of his hit single “Gold” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and a sold out spring 2015 headline tour that included three nights at New York’s Terminal 5, two nights at Los Angeles’ Club Nokia, and two live performances at Coachella. Look for him to perform at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Osheaga and FYF Fest, among other upcoming North American & European shows.
An artist of considerable range, Chet Faker—the name taken by Melbourne-raised, Brooklyn-based Nick Murphy—writes, performs and records all of his own music, giving it a warm, intimate feel with a solid groove structure. His critically acclaimed debut full length album Built On Glass was released on Downtown/Future Classic in the spring of 2014.
