New Album From Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. – Heading To The Finish Line

New York – The Speed of Things, the second LP from Josh Epstein and Daniel Zott, the Detroit duo better known as Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., will be released by Warner Bros. Records on October 8.

Paste Magazine recently named the album’s lead single, “If You Didn’t See Me (Then You Weren’t On The Dance Floor)” one of the “Best Songs of Summer,” describing the track as “three minutes of indie-pop bliss.”  The track was featured on the duo’s Patterns ep, which was released this spring to whet their fans’ appetite since their acclaimed 2011 debut, It’s A Corporate World.

In his live concert review last May of DEJJ’s concert at LA’s The El Rey, our critic wrote: “It was the unheard new songs that served as the evening’s highlights. The tunes sounded crisp and tight. Hearing these songs made it easy not only for fans, but for this writer to get excited about what’s to come for the guys.”

From their name alone, you know these guys have a sense of humor.  But the depth of this LP and the strength of their live performances indicate that the indie pop duo should be taken seriously.  Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. have linked with Atlas Genius for the “Ones To Watch” Tour this fall, which just launched this week.
