Los Angeles – San Francisco based band Panic Is Perfect are excited to release the Evan Gartner Remix to their song “Go Go Go”. The original song rocketed to #12 on HypeMachine and was named one of the Ten Best Indie Pop songs of 2014 by Indie Shuffle. Up-and-coming producer Evan Gartner has received praise from Diplo and won Borgore’s remix contest for “Wild Out” – and he’s only 18 years old. Gartner’s “Chainsmokers” remix racked up over a million plays and “Adventures,” his collaboration with Cheat Codes, went #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral track chart. In support of their EP Behind Your Eyelids, Panic is Perfect have been touring across the country with the dynamic Bay Area based rapper/producer K.Flay. To keep it diverse they have also been playing shows with the 7-piece indie-folk family unit, The Hunts. Panic Is Perfect’s EP features five of the band’s buzzed about songs, including the aforementioned “Go Go Go” which has just been featured in the new People Are Awesome video series. The director describes the viral videos as “just ordinary people doing the extraordinary cut to great new music.” “Go Go Go” has combined views of over 250 million, has been shared across social media 100,000′s and has appeared in TIME, Huffington Post, ESPN, CNN, and Fox.
Initially formed when Mike Hoffman went to southern India to visit his long-time friend Jeremy Belzer, Panic is Perfect started out as an acoustic duo. They traveled India by train with a backpack and broken guitar. Four months later, Jeremy joined Mike in San Francisco to officially pursue the band. Mike and Jeremy write and produce both independently and in collaboration. As multi-instrumentalists, they both play most of the instruments on their recordings. They each sing lead vocals on the songs that they write, adding more diversity to the overall sound. The eventual additions of Ty Parker (drums), Joey Hassid (synth) and the newest member, 21 year old David Monzon (guitar) complete the 5-piece live band and bring Panic is Perfect to life onstage.
