Mac DeMarco Shares New Single And Announces Fall Tour!

Mac DeMarco at 4Knots Music Festival

Chicago – In the midst of summer festival performances and a September European tour, Mac DeMarco will release his Another One mini-LP; the next great offering in what is quickly becoming a classic catalog. He’ll follow this mini-LP’s release with a four-night run of shows in New York City, playing the Bowery Ballroom, Webster Hall, Music Hall of Williamsburg and Warsaw (Webster Hall is the only show with a few remaining tickets).

With the overall feeling of lost love or perhaps a love never found, there’s a bittersweet, romantic sensibility present throughout Another One. DeMarco embraces this without making it an overly somber listen, immediately evident by the playful swing of the chords on opening number, “The Way You’d Love Her.” It’s one of a group of songs that blur the line between happy or sad nostalgia; at times haunting and warm, and perhaps a touch more refined and sophisticated than previous DeMarco numbers, but undoubtedly classic DeMarco (See the above image).

Another One was recorded and performed by DeMarco at his home in Far Rockaway, Queens and comes out August 7, 2015 on Captured Tracks. The album is available for pre-order now. Digital pre-order customers will receive an instant, free download of “The Way You’d Love Her,” as well as bonus instrumentals of Another One upon release date. In addition to those aforementioned New York shows and the summer festivals, DeMarco will embark on a full national tour this fall. All dates are below.
