Portland - Two of Chicago’s finest best new bands have teamed up for a split EP and two months of touring throughout Europe and the U.S. Ratboys and Dowsing are indie acts from the Windy City, comprised of good friends who also share a band member. The 7″ split release features two tracks from each band and will be released on September 9th to coincide with two months of touring throughout the U.S. and Europe, starting in September. Born out of stories to tell, Ratboys has only just begun to explore its sonic alleyway. The post-country outfit released debut LP AOID on Topshelf Records in 2015 and will return to the studio to record a new album in January. Ratboys is comprised of Julia Steiner (vocals/guitar), David Sagan (guitar), William Lange (bass), Jordan Parel (drums), and Cody Owens (trumpet).
Dowsing is a long-standing emotional punk act featuring Erik Hunter Czaja (vocals/guitar), Mike P. (bass/vocals), Mikey Crotty (guitar/vocals), and Will Lange (drums). The band Dowsing began in 2011 and released its debut EP titled All I Could Find Was You. Since then, the four-piece has released three LPs and is currently fresh off its third: Okay, released via Asian Man Records. Dowsing can almost always be found on tour, forever.
