Los Angeles-based Haim, signed earlier this year to Columbia Records, will release their first album, Days Are Gone, on September 30, following three earlier EPs Sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim recorded the LP in LA with producers Ariel Rechtshaid (Usher, Vampire Weekend) and James Ford (Florence and the Machine, Arctic Monkeys). The group will do an October headlining tour to support the album.
Days Are Gone will include crowd favorites “Falling,” “Forever” and the infectious “Don’t Save Me.” The album’s first single, “The Wire,” is available now on iTunes. Fans who pre-order the album will instantly receive a download of “The Wire” (iTunes.com/HAIM). MTV Buzzworthy calls the track “a monster of a song: huge, hooky and ready to wreck major cities.”
BestNewBands.com named Haim our Featured Artist earlier this year. At the time our Editor, Daniel Kohn, wrote: “Catchy, sunny pop tunes combined with intricate melodies, the girls are sure to be fixtures on radio for years to come.”
We called the sisters (aged 21-27) one of our Artists To Watch in 2013; Days Are Gone and the likely to be sold-out tour should introduce plenty of new fans to these Valley favorites.
