ZZ Ward Celebrates Her Breakthrough Year With New Video For ‘365 Days’

Los Angeles-based (“though I’m never there”) performer ZZ Ward isn’t resting on her laurels, of which there are many.  Hollywood Records has released a video for “365 Days,” the current single from Ward’s successful 2012 album, Til The Casket Drops.  She recently debuted the single with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“365 Days,” about a relationship that fizzled, showcases Ward’s voice, that can be described as a hybrid of soul, jazz and hip hop, and keyboard skill.  An earlier single, “Put The Gun Down,” enjoyed a good run at radio.  In an interview with BestNewBands.com earlier this year, Ward told our Brigit Anderson about a revelatory moment in her creative process: “my manager said ‘stop thinking about what people want to hear’ and just write music that feels good to you.”  The resulting LP has earned the mid-20s performer critical praise and commercial success.

Later this week, Ward resumes her summer coast-to-coast run with a variety of festival appearances including a homecoming performance at the Music On The Half Shell in Roseburg, Oregon.  She then kicks-off her fall headlining tour dubbed The Down and Dirty Shine Tour, on Labor Day.  Pretty much a “365 Days” year for the rising performer.
