Formed in Liverpool / Wirral in 2011, The Dirty Rivers shed the usual Beatles influence common to their city in favour of a darker, more adrenalin fuelled sound, reminiscent of bands such as The Stooges, The Rolling Stones, BRMC, and The Sex Pistols.
The band signed to Deltasonic Records in the summer of 2011 after just 3 explosive live shows, which captured an energy not witnessed since the days of early Coral. Developing their powerful sound and brilliant live performance they have built a loyal following and a great live reputation.
They are just about to release their 2nd single ‘THE KID’, which has already had brilliant reviews and BBC radio play (Janice Long show on BBC Radio 2) (Dave Monks Radio Merseyside) within hours of being uploaded to SoundCloud. Check out the video (directed by Dom Foster) here.
