New York – Fueled By Ramen recording group Twenty One Pilots has announced additional tour dates for the EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW world tour, in support of the duo’s most recent album Blurryface. The second leg of EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW will hit Mexico City’s Palacio De Los Deportes on September 30th and then travel through an extraordinary range of countries, including Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. In 2017, the tour will return to North America, with additional shows, given the majority of 2016 North American dates sold-out almost instantly. The first leg of the EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW tour - which includes support from Chef’Special - begins May 31st in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Blurryface is the follow-up to Vessel, Twenty One Pilots’ 2013 Fueled By Ramen debut. Blurryface made a stunning chart debut upon its arrival in 2015, entering the Billboard 200 at #1 and affirmed the duo as an international breakthrough, reaching the top 5 in Canada as well as the top 20 in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. “Ride,” the latest hit from the RIAA platinum certified blockbuster Blurryface spent six consecutive weeks atop the charts of Modern Rock radio outlets nationwide, making for the band’s second #1 single this year.
The success of “Ride” follows Twenty One Pilots’ RIAA 2x platinum certified smash, “Stressed Out,” which spent three months at #1 at Modern Rock while also topping Top 40 and Hot AC charts. The track recently received the iHeartRadio Music Award for “Alternative Rock Song of the Year” and has proven a true multi-format phenomenon, reaching #2 on Billboard’s “Hot 100.”
Tickets for the second leg of MØTIØNAL RØADSHØW will go on sale beginning May 13th. Tickets for the Anaheim, California show at the Honda Center will go on sale June 3rd. A full list of the additional dates can be found below. Visit the Twenty One Pilots website for further information.
