Los Angeles – WARPAINT will hit the road in the US this October with a headline run that includes their return to NYC after a triumphant Celebrate Brooklyn show this summer that found them in top form, playing for 6000-odd revelers. The band has been on tour almost nonstop since the January release of their self-titled sophomore album, including stints at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and opening dates for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, and will stay busy through the end of 2014.

In his lovely New York Times review of the Celebrate Brooklyn set, Jon Pareles described Warpaint’s visceral, driving live show as placing their songs “at that complicated intersection: where a grid of repetition meets the amorphous crosscurrents of emotion and desire.”

This weekend, Warpaint open two more shows for Nick Cave in their hometown of Los Angeles, before heading to Lollapalooza, Pickathon and Outside Lands, which Rolling Stone called “one of the summer’s must-see festivals,” highlighting Warpaint as one of its essential acts.
