Perusing the concert listings for this weekend, I came across a name I recognized from my high school days. Beth Willis was a year or two ahead of me at Beaverton High School. I wouldn’t say we were friends. I knew her from the many drama productions I watched. She was an amazing singer and a compelling performer. So how cool is it that she’s still singing? Really cool.

For all of you out in Troutdale, go see the duo that is Beth Willis and Todd Chatalas at McMenamin’s Edgefield Winery on Saturday. It starts at 7 pm and it’s free! Not sure yet? Listen to this: Novocaine. It’s a hauntingly sad ballad that highlights Beth’s beautiful voice. It’s the perfect music for wine sipping and contemplating life’s mysteries.
Beth and Todd have opened for Pablo Cruise, performed at Kink FM’s studios and played L.A.’s famed Viper Room. The duo, which has been together for two years, definitely has the chops to be around for a long time. Want to be able to say ‘I knew them when?’ Don’t miss this show!

You can get The Beth Willis Rock Duo’s EP on CDBaby or iTunes. Or just buy it at the merch table, would ya? See Beth Willis at McMenamin’s Edgefield Winery Saturday, May 7 at 7 pm. It’s free!
