New York - Daughter, the London-based trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella, have launched the final installment of their film triptych, for the soaring single ‘How’. Taken from their recently released and critically acclaimed second album, Not To Disappear.
Shot in London last year and directed by BAFTA-nominated filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (creators of the startling Nick Cave feature film 20,000 Days On Earth), the video treatment for ‘How’ was inspired by the short story ‘5,040’ – one of three works of fiction written by Stuart Evers and commissioned by Daughter.
Today’s launch of ‘How’ coincides with the arrival of 3 Films, an online portal celebrating the interwoven shorts for `How’, ‘Numbers’ and ‘Doing The Right Thing’ and their respective short stories ‘5,040’, ‘Window’ and ‘Dress’. Following on from a hugely successful UK tour in January, Daughter will begin a headline tour of North America on March 3rd at their sold out show in Philadelphia, PA. Having already sold out nearly the entire tour, the trio is thrilled to be returning this summer to play Bonnaroo.
