Alt-J Have Added New Tour Dates!

Alt-J

New York – The Leeds based foursome that are alt-J, have just announced a fresh batch of performance dates to the tour announced back in February, planned for this summer throughout North America –the first of which happens tonight in Cleveland, OH. Past that, there are also listings for brand new dates scheduled to take place in the fall.

Just as the weather has now started to warm up, things are about to heat up for the Grammy nominated indie rock quartet. Fans will have plenty to look forward to in the present, with alt-J primed to play a few festival shows this summer – including the ever-popular Lollapalooza and Osheaga festivals – before departing on the road for their autumn tour, which will include select dates in Canada. These shows north of the US will precede performances held at venues in the midwest, starting on September 17 when alt-J travel to the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN. There will be little stop time for the group by this point, playing shows in America’s heartland and then performing down south before diverting west and wrapping up the tour at Key Arena in Seattle, WA on October 18. Full tour information is shown below.

Pre-sale tickets went on sale today at 10AM local and general public go on sale starting Friday, April 3 at 10AM local. Tickets are available HERE.

Waiting around in one’s respective local town for alt-J might make for an anxious time but the performance the band gave during last night’s installment of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon ought to help tide over thrilled fans in the meantime.

The combination of alt-J’s highly publicized and well received sophomore release, This Is All Yours, and its subsequent nomination for Alternative Music Album of the year at the Grammy Awards, made 2014 a year filled with significant praise for the English band. Spotify also presented the group with the title of “Breakout Artist” in the streaming service’s “Year in Music” review. Additional recent accolades included rankings from the likes of Rolling Stone (ranked This Is All Yours #27 on their Albums Of The Year), TIME (ranked it #3,) and even preference from NPR, which named the record one of their Favorite Albums of 2014.
