Audiodamn! Tour Dairy – Kansas City

Kansas City – Snow. Or as we call it: snow, I mean no….. We call it “Schnee” which sounds a bit like the sound your Macbook makes when you send an email…if…you use your imagination at least. We did see a lot of it when we woke up after our show in Davenport (#Quadcities).

After a nice and healthy breakfast at the hotel — no espresso though, just coffee — we were on our way to Kansas City. Still cold, still snowing but we’re actually familiar with that situation because we’re from Austria which is famous for skiing holidays and ehm….Eh…yes…Arnold Schwarzenegger, I guess. Never mind.

So we arrived in Kansas City in time (you might also know it as “The City of Fountains”) and started setting up our gear at the Tank Room. In order to carry everything on stage, we went through the first bunch of people at the entrance, which was kind of nice – you got to know everybody before the show. Up-close and personal. People standing right in front of you while you’re playing. That kind of club. Immediately loved it .

The first band “The Young Gods” had the crowd all fired-up, so again, we were in a pretty relaxed state when we walked onstage — though we didn’t know if Ali’s guitar was gonna work, which it did, thankfully. Great sound on stage… while our show in Davenport was very fast and energetic, this show was a little more relaxed and got people grooving and smiling rather than going completely crazy. So our funky tunes worked really well, which is awesome. I love both kinds of shows, I couldn’t decide which was cooler for me.

It was also our last Communion Music tour date, so thanks for letting us take part in that! Also, its great playing with our family, “Highly Suspect” (#DieHochsuspekten) on these dates. We thought that went really well.

So it’s been a fun ride…also, writing this has been a cool way of reflecting our own activities and I hope y’all (I used it again, again, AGAIN) get a little insight on what we are doing all day long and – Lionel Richie style — all night long (which was sleep, we slept). Hope to see y’all soon! Damn!
