Tame Impala Surprise On A Sunday With A New Single!

Tame Impala

New York – It’s only been a short three weeks since Kevin Parker, the man behind psychedelic rock project, Tame Impala, brought new music to the world’s attention with the impressive track, “Let It Happen.” Sunday, Tame Impala decided to surprise everyone once again, now unveiling a new single titled, “Cause I’m A Man.”

“Cause I’m a Man” is the first official single from Tame Impala’s upcoming third record –the title of which was also just announced. The next installment from the band is titled Currents.

Tame Impala initially burst onto the music scene with a simple EP, put together via crude home recording techniques back in 2008. As an ARIA, WAMI, APRA award winner, Grammy nominated Tame Impala has easily won over the ears and hearts of many who have heard their music. (Tame Impala were also given one of the Best New Bands Newbie Awards in 2012 for “Best New Band.”)

Despite some time passing and Tame Impala having released many songs and two full length albums since first appearing, Kevin Parker’s preferred method of recording has not deviated all that much from that first EP. The sounds heard emerging from his home studio in Perth, Australia may have evolved and matured but Parker makes sure to retain that original style that brought fans around to play his music in the first place, even amidst making enough changes to inspire a plethora of intrigue and positive impatience among Tame Impala’s fan base.

Today’s unveiling of Tame Impala’s tertiary album title and the release of “Cause I’m a Man” leaves mere handful of days before the band are slated to give their first performance of a lengthy tour that will begin this Wednesday, April 8 with a sold-out show in Pomona, CA and continue through September 12 with shows both in North America and Europe, with the tour wrapping up at this year’s Lollapalooza in Berlin, Germany. See below for the full list of tour dates. Tickets are available HERE.
